La Giette is in the subalpine region at the upper limit of cereal cultivation. One recognises the terraced land where they cultivated cereals and potatoes in the past. You can still hear the elders talk about the good quality of the potatoes from La Giette, even though everybody has abandoned their gardens. We rebuilt the old characteristic terraces around our house and plant vegetables and potatoes. It’s a garden close to nature where you can find old vegetables, herbs, flowers and edible alpine plants.
