Weaving

“I took over the hand weaving after the death of my mother who, besides working on the farm, earned some additional money weaving. I started during my holidays. I never had any formal training and my mother never taught me, because she wanted an easier life for me. In the beginning I only had the visual memory of observing my mother. A friend of mine, my mother’s pupil, helped me get started. In the past you could find a loom in almost every household in the village. Now we are the only two people who still do some weaving. But it is impossible to live off it, I have to do auxiliary jobs to survive.”
